Mental health is defined as our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Family life, friends, school, work and many other things affect how we think, feel, and act. Life can be challenging and you might be feeling stressed, sad, lonely or worried, our mental health is what determines how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.
Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Actually, one in four of us will experience mental health problems at some point in our lives.
The most important thing to remember is that you’re not alone and looking for advice and support is exactly the right thing to do. It can be very difficult to talk about your feelings and what's happening in your life but whatever the issue, we all need help from other people at times.
